Totally fair question — here's what the $1,100 covers: a DSC NEO HS2032 panel (commercial-grade, same hardware ITHRA uses for business accounts), 6 wireless sensors (3 door/window contacts + 2 motion detectors + 1 glass break), a 110dB interior siren, cellular backup communicator, and 3 hours of programming + a full walkthrough so you know every zone.
The cellular backup means the alarm works even if your internet or phone line is cut — that's the piece that separates it from a DIY kit.
